THE 1987 SEAWORLD HOLIDAY BOWL
Wyoming (10-2) vs. Iowa (9-3)
Wyoming appeared to have things in control until Iowa defensive back Anthony Wright returned an interception 33 yards for a touchdown with 14:35 remaining. Midway through the final quarter, Iowa fullback David Hudson scored on a 1-yard run to cap an 86-yard drive.
Wyoming had two chances to regain the lead. A 52-yard field goal attempt by Greg Worker was blocked and, with 23 seconds remaining, a Wyoming holding penalty negated a 25-yard pass completion that would have put the Cowboys in field goal range.
