Lace up your high-tops, put on your headbands and don’t
forget to bend your knees. The 21st
annual Jack in the Box® 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament is set for May 17 and 18
at Crown Point Shores along Mission Bay.
More than 150 teams are expected to participate, making “Hoops at the
Beach” the largest annual 3-on-3 tournament in San Diego County.
This event serves as a fund-raiser for the non-profit
Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to
generate tourism, exposure, economic benefit and civic pride for San Diego and
its citizens by producing the nation’s most exciting college football bowl game
and festival of events.
The team entry fee includes a t-shirt and two Los Angeles
Sparks WNBA tickets for each player, and at least two games in double
elimination or round-robin play. There
are 12 divisions for boys and men, and six divisions for girls and women. Both can compete in the Open, 3rd/4th Grade,
5th/6th Grade, 7th/8th Grade, 9th/10th Grade and 11th/12th Grade divisions. Men also can compete in the Elite, 6’0 &
under, 6’3 & under, Masters (30 & over), Super Masters (40 & over),
and Senior Masters (50 & over) divisions.

In addition to 3-on-3 tournament action, event participants
and spectators can enter slam dunk and 3-point contests, as well as the Mudd
