The Pacific Life Holiday Bowl and Dr Pepper unveiled a new program today that will recognize the most inspirational high school football players and team student supporters in San Diego County. The program is named the Dr Pepper All-Inspiration Team, a Pacific Life Holiday Bowl production.
High school football fans have until December 1st to visit PacificLifeHolidayBowl.com and click on the link to nominate the most inspirational offensive and defensive student-athletes and the most inspirational student booster. This individual could be a member of the cheer squad, a team manager or any other high school student who inspires his or her team to do their best. The nominations are being coordinated by XTRA Sports 1360.
“We are proud to introduce this new award with Dr Pepper and XTRA Sports,” said 2009 Pacific Life Holiday Bowl President Barbara Warden. “Most often it is high school football’s best players who receive all the recognition and accolades. Now, the individuals who are deemed to be the spirit and backbone of teams will have their moment in the sun. We are truly very proud to be launching this program.”

Once the nomination process is complete, a committee will review the nominations and select the winners. The recipients will be recognized on the field during the Dr Pepper Halftime Show at the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. The game will be played Wednesday, December 30th at 5 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium.
The Dr Pepper All Inspiration Team is also supported by CIF and the Kiwanis Club of San Diego.
