Crown Point Shores, Mission Bay, San Diego (May 22 & 23, 2010) – Over 150 teams and hundreds of spectators packed Crown Point Shores this past weekend for the Jack in the Box 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament – A Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl Production. There were 14 divisions, including brackets for men and women, old and young and tall and short. In the top division (Elite), the J.G.’s took the win at center court.

In other action, Mike Chargualaf claimed the win in the Five Star Tours 3-Point Shootout, while Manny Lopez was the champion of the San Diego Office Interiors Free Throw Challenge.

This year’s Slam Dunk Contest was a sight to see. Michael Stewart took home the grand prize with a perfect 50 points on his third and final dunk. The prize included concert tickets and Jack in the Box sandwiches for a year.

The Jack in the Box 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament has served as an annual fund-raiser for the non-profit Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl for 23 years. This year it also benefitted Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County.

Special thanks are extended to Wells Fargo, who made it financially possible for all military teams to have their entry fees waived.
