National Funding Holiday Bowl Kicks off Dec. 30 at Qualcomm Stadium
SAN DIEGO – National Funding will be the title sponsor of the 2015 Holiday Bowl, San Diego Bowl Game Association President Kimberley Layton announced today. The game will be called the National Funding Holiday Bowl. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, though it was revealed to be for the 2015 bowl game only.
Founded in 1999 by USC alumnus David Gilbert, National Funding is a San Diego-based financial technology company serving small to medium-sized businesses nationwide.
“We are so grateful to National Funding CEO Dave Gilbert and his team for stepping in to be title sponsor of this year’s Holiday Bowl,” said Layton. “Unquestionably, they are the 2015 hero of our non-profit effort. What a great and generous community-minded partner!”
“When the spectacular USC versus Wisconsin matchup was announced last Sunday I noticed there was a title sponsor void,” said Gilbert. “For years I’ve appreciated the tremendous impact the Holiday Bowl has had on our community. I saw this as an opportunity to really help out an important community endeavor.”
