Qualifying for the 2007 Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals was held in early September on the rugby fields at Qualcomm Stadium.A field of 334 dachshunds participated in the event, each vying for one of eight spots in the semi-final.
The 19th annual Barona $1 Million Hole-in-One Shootout, a fund-raiser for the non-profit Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, begins Monday, September 10 and runs through Friday, September 21 at the Stadium Golf Center located off I-15 at Aero Drive.The event is closed Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16.Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The 11th annual Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals kicks off in San Diego on September 8th, at Qualcomm Stadium.The top eight dogs from the qualifying round will advance to the San Diego final, Thursday, October 25th at halftime of the Lakers vs. Jazz basketball game at the San Diego Sports Arena.

At a luncheon in June at the Manchester Grand Hyatt presented by Wells Fargo, the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl inducted Colorado State wide receiver Darran Hall and Kansas State Head Coach Bill Snyder into the bowl’s Hall of Fame.
One hundred golfers spent a beautiful June day playing in the Wells Fargo Golf Classic, which was hosted by Sycuan at the Sycuan Resort Golf Course. Participants received a gourmet lunch and the headed off to the links for a shotgun start.
