Golfers Take Aim at Barona Million Dollar Hole-in-One Shootout
The 21st annual Barona Million Dollar Hole-in-One Shootout, a fund-raiser for the non-profit Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, begins Monday, September 7th and runs through Friday, September 18th at the Stadium Golf Center located off I-15 at Aero Drive. The event is closed Saturday and Sunday, September 12th and 13th. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Daily prizes will be awarded to the ten golfers who come closest to the 125-yard hole each day. Prizes include $500 travel vouchers from Kahala Travel, golf getaways at Barona Resort and Casino, rounds of golf, hotel stays, concert tickets, Pacific Life Holiday Bowl game tickets and more.
The top golfer each day, as well as any golfer who sinks a hole-in-one during the ten-day event, will advance to the Final Shootout at Barona Creek Golf Club on Monday, September 21st. An ace there will win a golfer $1 million. If nobody gets a hole-in-one then the participant with the ball stopping closest to the pin will win a seven-day Mexican Riviera cruise on the Mariner of the Seas, courtesy of Royal Caribbean and Carefree Vacations.
