This event serves as a fund-raiser for the non-profit Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl, a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to generate tourism, exposure, economic benefit and civic pride for San Diego and its citizens by producing the nation’s most exciting college football bowl game and festival of events.
The team entry fee includes event t-shirts and at least two games in double elimination or round-robin play. There are 12 divisions for boys and men, six divisions for girls and women and a co-ed division. There are age divisions for both genders ranging from 3rdto 12th grade—3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade, 7th/8th Grade, 9th/10th Grade and 11th/12th Grade divisions. Men also can compete in the Elite, 6’0 & under, 6’3 & under, Men’s Open, Masters (30 & over), Super Masters (40 & over), and Senior Masters (50 & over) divisions. Women can also compete in the Women’s Open division. Kids divisions through 8th grade will play Sunday only, during Family Day.
In addition to 3-on-3 tournament action, event participants and spectators can enter in the slam dunk contest, the Five Star Tours 3-point Shootout, as well as the San Diego Office Interiors Free Throw Challenge.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County is the event's beneficiary. A limited number of complimentary entries are available for military personnel, courtesy of Wells Fargo.
