Kindergarten Student Wins Parade Photo Contest

In a surprise presentation today, Pacific Life Holiday Bowl officials announced that a kindergarten student from Olympic View Elementary School in Chula Vista was declared the winner of the 2009 San Diego County Credit Union Family Photo Contest. The student as well as her class won a number of prizes.

Jessica Rayne Tijam will have the honor of having her “Beach” themed family photo turned into a professionally built float and entered in the Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade. This Pacific Life Holiday Bowl production will march along Harbor Drive in downtown San Diego at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 30. The event will air nationally on Friday, January 1, 2010 on the USA Network.

Jessica received a prize package that included a gift package from The World-Famous San Diego Zoo, four tickets to the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl and the privilege of riding on the float with her family in the parade.

Jessica’s entire class also received reserved grandstand tickets to the parade and tickets to the San Diego Zoo.

The San Diego County Credit Union Family Photo Contest was made available to all San Diego County children through the North County Times and San Diego Family Magazine.
