SAN DIEGO (May 08, 2012) – Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) today named Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego as the 2012 Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl beneficiary. Bridgepoint Education will donate $1 from each ticket sold to this year’s Holiday Bowl game to Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. The game will be held on December 27 at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium.
This is the third consecutive year Bridgepoint Education has served as the title sponsor for the Holiday Bowl and the third year Bridgepoint Education has selected a community organization to benefit from the sponsorship. In previous years, Bridgepoint Education donated $60,000 to Promises2Kids, an organization that works to prevent child abuse and neglect, and $59,000 to Freedom Station, an organization that helps members of the armed forces transition back into civilian life.
