Golfers take part in annual Marsh & McLennan Golf Classic
SAN DIEGO – A near sold out field of golfers took to the links on Monday to help the nonprofit San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl’s cause. The annual Marsh & McLennan Golf Classic took place on the championship golf course at The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo. The event serves as the year’s biggest fundraiser for the bowl game.
Additional on-course activities included a putting contest, grab bag, five-card draw, longest putt, closest to the pin, and straightest drives.
Top honors went to the group of John Snyder, John Fonseca, and Mark Slane. The group won the four-player scramble tournament with a net score of 55 on the 18-hole course.

Participants enjoyed lunch courtesy of Boudin Bakery, beverages provided by Coronado Brewing Company and a dinner reception following the competition. Players were greeted at registration by the Padres Pad Squad and Friar and each received a $100 Cohn Restaurant gift card.
