San Diego County Credit Union has extended their title sponsorship of San Diego’s Poinsettia Bowl, 2010 Bowl President Eric Graves announced today. The extension is for sponsorship through the 2012 contest. Financial terms were not disclosed. San Diego County Credit Union has been title sponsor of the bowl game since its inception in 2005.

The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl was established in 2005, is produced by the non-profit San Diego Bowl Game Association, and benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego. The mission of the Association is to generate tourism, exposure, economic benefit and civic pride for San Diego and its citizens by producing the nation’s most exciting bowl games and festivals of events. The San Diego Bowl Game Association also produces the annual Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl.
The 6th annual San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl kicks off December 23rd at 5 p.m. The game will feature the second selection from the Mountain West Conference against the United States Naval Academy. Last year’s game featured a 37-27 Utah Utes victory over the California Golden Bears in front of 32,665 fans at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium.
