San Diego Bowl Game Association
For 40 years, the Holiday Bowl has played a significant economic role in the success of San Diego’s tourism industry. The nonprofit San Diego Bowl Game Association fills hotel rooms and provides patrons for restaurants and shops during one of San Diego’s slowest tourism weeks of the year. Since its inception in 1978, the San Diego Bowl Game Association has created an impact of more than $850 million for the region.

The mission of the nonprofit San Diego Bowl Game Association is to generate tourism, exposure, economic benefit and civic pride for San Diego and its citizens by presenting the nation’s most exciting and entertaining bowl game and festival of events. The San Diego Bowl Game Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which produces the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl and a year-around festival of events.
Board of Directors
The San Diego Bowl Game Association is comprised of civic-minded business leaders and professionals. At the helm of this year’s bowl efforts is 2019 President Paul Hering.
There are over 100 volunteers within the San Diego Bowl Game Association family. These dedicated individuals, known around San Diego as “The RedCoats” are integral to the success of San Diego’s bowl game and year-around festival of events.
The San Diego Bowl Game Association RedShirt Committee is a group of young professionals, ages 21-35, who play a significant role in the production of San Diego’s largest annual festival of events.
The San Diego Bowl Games staff works full-time, year-round to ensure the success of the Holiday Bowl and ancillary events.
