Golfers take part in annual Golf Classic presented by Wells Fargo
SAN DIEGO – The near record-breaking heat on Monday did not deter a sold out field of golfers from taking to the links to help the Holiday Bowl’s cause. The annual Golf Classic presented by Wells Fargo took place on the championship golf course at The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo. The event served as a fundraiser for the nonprofit Holiday Bowl.
Additional on-course activities included a putting contest, grab bag, five-card draw, longest putt, closest to the pin, and straightest drives.
Top honors went to the foursome of John Snyder, Geoff Goldstein, Bobby Pedroza and Kevin Harris. The foursome won the four-player scramble tournament with a net score of 57 on the 18-hole course.

Participants enjoyed lunch courtesy of Boudin Bakery, beverages provided by New Belgium and a dinner reception following the competition. Along with a raffle and silent auction, players also received a Birdie Box filled with premium items.
